On Saturday December 22 eight members of our choir joined other people from area choirs in singing Christmas carols for residents of the Greek-American Nursing Home in Wheeling. The event was organized by Anastasia Therman of the Annunciation Choir. After enlisting the aid of her fellow singers from Annunciation, she contacted the choir directors of St Nectarios, St Andrew and SS Peter & Paul and asked if anyone would be able and willing to join her just to brighten the holidays a bit for people who are unable to leave their home. Ann is a very generous person, who, in addition to organizing the day, also baked and brought koulourakia individually wrapped for the residents. She distributed those, along with candy canes to residents. It was a great day and we plan to repeat the event annually.
