Transfiguration of our Lord

Dear Parishioners of Saints Peter and Paul:

We are pleased to announce the assignment of Deacon Paul Borislav Dinkov as our new associate pastor by His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. Deacon Paul was just ordained Saturday, July 26th to the Diaconate at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. For the last year, he has worked for the Metropolis of Chicago as their administrative assistant. After graduating from Holy Cross Seminary in Boston (Master of Divinity, 2016) he also worked as the pastoral assistant and youth director for both St Nectarios Church in Palantine and Annunciation Church in Milwaukee.

For the month of August Deacon Paul will continue to work at the Metropolis and will begin part-time work with our parish training and orienting with Fr. Rick. This will give him and us time to prepare for his full-time assignment beginning September 1st. We anticipate his ordination to the Holy Priesthood around that time.

Deacon Paul is a native of Bulgaria and grew up working on his grandparents’ farm during the summers. He came to the United States to attend college and graduated from the State University of New York (Albany, Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, 2011). Struck with a desire and calling to serve the Lord, Deacon Paul enrolled at Holy Cross in the Fall of 2012.

During his work at Annunciation Church in Milwaukee, Deacon Paul met Miss Lorice Ratas and they married about a year later. They now have an eight-month-old son, Philip. Deacon Paul is a humble, hard-working, intelligent person with a proven track record of service to the Lord and His people.

We are very excited to have Deacon Paul join our parish and continue his service. We look forward to welcoming Diakonissa Lorice and Philip into our community as well.

Blessed Dormition Fast!
