Rules and Eligibility Requirements

  1. The Athie Koulogeorge Panarites Scholarship (AKPS) recipients shall be members in good standing (stewards or children of stewards) of Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, IL.
  2. In awarding the scholarship, the applications will be evaluated on the following criteria: a balance of both the academic merit and financial support. Applicants for the AKP scholarship must be planning to attend an Orthodox
    Christian religious educational institution and or camp.
  3. Applicants for Fanari Camp, Ionian Village, Hellenic College, or any other Orthodox Christian religious educational institution or camp may apply prior to
  4. After completed applications are submitted; the AKP Scholarship Committee will review and select the finalist(s). The finalist(s) are then interviewed by the Committee for a final decision.
  5. The Scholarship Award will be presented in Church on Graduation Recognition Sunday, May 19, 2024.
  6. The recipient of the Scholarship is encouraged to attend the Award Presentation to personally accept the award.
  7. If applicable, High School applicants must submit 1) an official high school transcript and 2) appropriate test scores (ACT or SAT) if available. Junior High School applicants must submit a signed transcript by a school official.
