Fostering Vibrant Local Eucharistic Communities (LEC)

Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church, but in our secularized and digitalized age it feels like we, as Christians, are embattled. This lecture series will provide a renewed vision for the life of local church communities in which every member is equipped to fulfill their God given role in the body of Christ serving one another and witnessing to the world. The lectures will provide guidance for practical personal and community transformation based on decades of ministry experience and in-depth academic study.

Spring Camp is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and share your faith with others. We have a lot of fun activities planned, including games, religious activities, and plenty of opportunities for fellowship. The goal is to bring Orthodox Christian youth closer to God, the Church, and their community. Join us for this weekend free of technology.

Please join us for a Lenten project to make blankets to be donated to the University of Illinois Pediatric Unit. No sewing experience is necessary.

Please donate for supplies and fabric. The average cost to make each blanket is $9.00.

Join us for a unique evening of showcasing the creativity of a stunning tablescape from our wonderful Saints Peter and Paul hosts/hostesses. All are welcome to enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a hand of Christian fellowship extended to all at our spring fundraiser, Festival of Tables. The event will feature dinner, DJ, raffles and 50/50 Raffle. All adults are welcome to create a stunning tablescape with friends. Those interested in hosting need contact Diane Economy at by April 19. You will not be responsible for filling all your seats at your table. The fundraiser will support the philanthropic efforts of The Philoptochos Society of Saints Peter and Paul.

Vacation Church School 2024

Vacation church school is a week-long day camp that offers religious education, games, crafts, and valuable fellowship. Each day features diverse themes and lessons, including a service project that instills the importance of giving back. Vacation church school creates lasting memories for children to carry with them. The goal of the week is to deepen their connection to the faith while fostering a greater understanding of the significance of the church in their lives. We will have one field trip for the week.

Cost: $212 per kid.
Includes the whole week, supplies, field trip, activities, T-shirt, and luncheon on Friday.
