There will be a money offertory taken, and it will be spit evenly between Wesley Child Care, Glenview Youth Services, and Character Counts in Glenview.

Let the gratitude of Thanksgiving inspire you to join the SSPP Philanthropy Ministry in providing a sack lunch for the needy in Evanston on Black Friday, Nov, 29th.
Meet at SSPP to prep sack lunches, before driving over to the Church House of the First Congregational Church in Evanston (1417 Hinman Ave. Evanston, IL 60201) to serve the meal.

Our Church School will be buying gifts for kids who would otherwise be without. We partner with Northwestern Settlement to donate these gifts and get them to our kids. We will have a presentation following church on Dec. 1st where our students will present the gifts before an icon of St. Nicholas to be blessed. After this, students will return to their classes for a shortened period.
For the students and families of Agape Preschool/Kindergarten & SSPP Hope Group
Cost: $25 per family (pay by cash or check)
Food will be catered by Giordano’s. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Nayia Markos fight
her battle with Glioblastoma (a former Agape Preschool student).
Children should come dressed in pajamas and bring a blanket or sleeping bag “sleep under.”

Senior GOYA Lock-In is on December 14-15. It will start at 5:00 pm with vespers, then we will deliver the presents we have bought, have a gift swap ($10 limit), a lesson on Christmas, gingerbread house competition and more!

The YAL ministry and GOYAlumni ministry will meet at church and prepare meals for the homeless. After the meals are prepared, we will travel to downtown Chicago and pass out food down Michigan Ave. This event isn’t just about providing meals to the homeless, it also creates relationships with people.
