After the Divine Liturgy on September 15th, the Altar Boys held their annual retreat. Led by Fr. Rick, this was an opportunity for him to take the Altar Boys through the basics of the divine services and to talk to them about his expectations going into the new ministry year.
Five new Altar Boys joined us for the retreat and we were excited that we had this time to introduce them to the all the aspects of being an Altar Boy. We were also thankful to the older, and experienced Altar Boys, who demonstrated the entrances, showed the new Altar Boys how to put on their robes, and made them all feel welcome and at home during their first time in the Holy Altar.
We wrapped up with a session led by Fr. Panagiotis comparing the roles and work of the Altar Boys with those of the Angels in heaven.
