Our Athletics program had a full year this year! Between Basketball and Jr. Olympics, our trophy case is really filling up! It was a great season for all of our basketball teams from 1st grade through High School. All of our teams played their hearts out and had a lot of fun. We did win a few of the championships too! Our Jr. High 7/8th grade team won the Gold division championship, and our High Schoolers won the Silver division and our 5/6th grade team won 3rd place in the gold division!
Our athletes also competed in the Jr. Olympics! All of our kids came together Memorial Day weekend and competed in a number of athletic events. Dean Alexis, Peter Spillson and Tristan Caras all brought home medals in Track & Field and our 11-13 Soccer team won the bronze! It was a great year filled with fun, fellowship and healthy competition.
We would like to thank our coaches for all of the commitment, love and work they put in this season to give our kids a great season. And to our awesome parents who trekked through the snow this winter to get our players to their games and cheer them on! We couldn’t do it without any of you. We’d also like to thank Chris Atsaves for his love of our kids, the church, and the game. The athletics program and youth program are what they are today in large part because of Chris.
