Dear fellow parishioners,

Please be advised that a month-long project to replace the roof and the HVAC systems on the community
center and gymnasium will commence this Friday, October 11th. The parish council selected independent
contractors for the roof and HVAC systems in September upon recommendation of the Maintenance
Projects committee after review of five bids each for the roof and HVAC.

Throughout the construction period the parish leaders and contractors will be coordinating the work to
minimize disruptions to normal operations. There will be marked zones for limited access where and when
needed for everyone’s safety. Please be patient with the timing of the work. which will be actively
managed dependent on events and weather. And watch for the cranes to be on site at least twice to hoist
the old HVAC units down and the new ones up!

All parishioners should be aware that the cost up to $600,000, approved at the Spring Parish Assembly,
was held to during the detailed quoting process. Timing is on track for completion before Thanksgiving.
Council members have personally pledged $50,000 so far to get this capital campaign started.
Additionally, $300,000 has already been earmarked for this project and a lead donor has contributed
$150,000. Thus, we welcome and encourage everyone to help us raise the remaining $100,000 to pay for
the project in full. Expect to hear more from the Stewardship and Capital Committees, partnering closely
to enable our parish to succeed at meeting our operational and capital project needs this year and into
the future. If you are moved to immediate support of the project, use the stewardship donation feature
on our website (www.ssppglenview.org) or call Diane at the church office (847-729-2235) for a full array
of donation options.

Thank you in advance for your patience and support in keeping our community center dry and
comfortable!

In Christ,
