Our SSPP GOYAlumni met at church, made sandwiches and brought them to downtown Chicago. They then used them as vehicles for conversations with people experiencing homelessness. So often we thirst and hunger for human connection and interaction and we were filled by the connections that we made, and God-willing, the people we met were filled from our interaction as well.

“I’ve had the opportunity to participate in LITS (Liturgy in the Streets) a few times both with SSPP and other communities and this experience further instilled in me that it’s not hard to start conversations with strangers. Everyone just wants someone they can talk to and it’s important not to disregard human beings just because of their living situation.”
