150 professionals from all over the country met at Saints Peter and Paul Nov 7-9 for the annual conferences of OCAMPR (Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion) and OTSA (Orthodox Theological Society of America). The theme of the OCAMPR conference was “Isolation, Violence, Hope and Communion,” and workshops, paper presentations and lectures focused on this theme from the views of medicine, psychology and religion. Highlights of the conference included a keynote address by Bishop Irinej of the Serbian Orthodox Archdiocese and plenaries by Dn. Perry Hamalis, Dr. Donald Jenkins and Dr. Kathryn Saclarides Bocanegra (our own Dn. Ted’s daughter who grew up in our parish).

Many people from the Saints Peter and Paul community volunteered and offered hospitality to the conference attendees, and much thanks goes out to all of them and to our parish administrator, Sandra Glisic and to Fr. Panagiotis and Fr. Rick for keeping the conference running smoothly. Every session of OCAMPR was recorded and will be posted on Ancient Faith Radio in the coming weeks.

Watch for announcements of OCAMPR to return to Saints Peter and Paul next year Nov 5-7, 2020.
