Our Faith, Love & Joy met on Friday while our Jr. & Sr. GOYA met on Monday with two goals in mind: 1) Make pizzas for the soup kitchen at First Presbyterian Church in Evanston 2) Have fun. They successfully did both!
Faith, Love, and Joy started off the weekend by making pizzas, with cheese, pepperoni, pineapple and more. Some of them made their pizzas into hearts and other shapes that the people who we will feed will enjoy. Then on Monday, our Jr. & Sr. GOYAN’s kept the pizza energy up. They had intense pizza making competitions that resulted in cheesy breads, calzones, and holiday themed pizzas. One group even made little pizza bites. The end of the day ended with a flour fight, but everybody made it out okay.
We made over 30 pizzas! Thank you to North Branch for donating the pizza boxes and to all of the parents who helped us either by buying supplies or helping our kids make the pizzas, as well as our GOYA Advisors that came to help support our kids! It was a really awesome weekend and we had a lot of fun.
